Dealing With Bladder Leaks? You’re NOT Alone! (and Always Discreet Can Help)

Did you know that 1-in-3 women have bladder leaks? Or that 1-in-2 African American women 18yrs+ experience bladder leaks, but only 1-in-9 use incontinence protection?

When I first experienced bladder leaks, I had no idea that it was such normal and common experience. It happens more often than you probably think โ€“ and if you experience bladder leaks, know that you’re definitely not alone!

It’s not something to be embarrassed by or a topic to avoid. After having my third child, bladder leakage was a big issue for a little while. The issue mainly persisted during my post-partum recovery but has also emerged more recently too.

I’m not sure if it’s because I used to hold my number 1’s until the last minute, but I’ve had a slight challenge with bladder leakage in the last year or so.

I work full-time and have to travel by commuter bus to my office at least once per week. During the bus ride home – which is about 2 hours door-to-door, I often have to make a run for my car and get home as quickly as possible so I can rush to the bathroom (I’d really hate to go on the bus, but if worse came to worse, I’d have to just do it).

There have been a *few* times where I barely made it.

I tried everything. I stop drinking an hour before I leave. I go to the bathroom two or three times before I leave. I work hard to line up the timing but often it’s not enough.

That’s where Always Discreet comes in.

I used to wear pads to help avoid any wet pants incidents. But Always Discreet is a better choice for bladder leaks than menstrual pads. Once I tried Always Discreet, I could see how much better they are for protection from bladder leaks.

While menstrual pads have wings, Always Discreet pads have full-length Double LeakGuardsโ„ข that help stop leaks at the legs where they happen most. Also, Always Discreet liners absorb 2X more than the leading menstrual liner.

Whether you’re commuting to/from work, exercising, attending events, traveling, outings with your children, etc. they’re very easy to take along.

I keep a few in my purse at all times – just in case!

With Always Discreet I don’t have to worry if I don’t make it in time. I use the liners for light bladder leaks, but Always also provides heavy bladder leak protection. I prefer to use the liners because it feels like they’re barely there and I never have to be embarrassed or concerned that they’ll show through my clothes.

Always Discreet pads are up to 45% thinner than the leading incontinence brand. I really appreciate the discreet bladder leak protection that Always offers. It allows me to live my life to the fullest without compromise.

Always Discreet is available in liners and pads, in addition to the underwear.

It’s time to end the stigma and start having real conversations about bladder leaks. It’s nothing to be ashamed about! Always Discreet can help you to live your life to the fullest while having protection for this very common challenge.

  1. This is so nice. Good to consider, rather than avoiding situations that could otherwise be uncomfortable and/or embarrassing!

  2. After having a 9lb 7oz boy I have not been the same. Kind of embarrassing when you are working out or running to the bus.

  3. I started through menopause about 6 months ago and IMMEDIATELY began having issues with a leaky bladder! I was too vain to talk to my doctor (or anyone else) until it became so severe that I was wearing protection everyday. I finally went to my doctor and told her “I’m only 51, this shit isn’t going to fly! Fix it! I have too many things I want to explore and do to be tied down with this!” She gave me ultra low doses of vaginal estrogen and within 30 days – BAM gone! She knows I’m an “natural healing” kinda person and rarely take medication, especially fake hormones! But I told her I’d try it and I read up on the risk… Definitely low risk, so I’m all on board with her recommendations!

  4. I have a friend who’s had a terrible time with this. In fact, not long ago she had minor surgery to help. I’m so glad Always makes a product, becuase it became something she had to think (and worry) about all of the time. x

  5. I have been having a little bit of a problem with bladder leaks. It has improved some with exercise. I have never tried this product. I will definitely be giving it a try soon. Thank you so much for sharing

  6. I fortunately don’t have this issue, but I definitely feel for those who do and I’m glad there are more products coming on the market to help address these issues. I’m glad that things are finally more out in the open than they’ve been in the past.

  7. This is sooooo me now. Throughout the years my body has changed and I suffer from bladder leakage and I use Always Deseret too. I use to worry but not anymore. Great post.

  8. This is me. I “suffer” from this every day. Recently I came down with a bad cough and cold….that cough did me in. I twas terrible but I too where these products from Always. Great for my every day issues.
