During the summer months, the kids are always asking for a cold snack. The usual requests include ice cream and popsicles. Which, I love by the way, but we are working to develop and maintain healthier eating habits.
To make them (and me) happy, I’ve been getting more creative with our summer snacking using a healthier option: Yoplait®.
The kids absolutely love yogurt and Yoplait® is a family favorite. They’re always eating yogurt for breakfast and snack time. So I was all too excited to get creative and find new ways to bring them something they love.
Since they’re always asking for a cold snack in the summer, one of my go-to recipes has been homemade frozen yogurt popsicles.
It’s so easy and quick. Just a few ingredients and doesn’t take long to freeze.
We call these yummy snacks Yoplait® Frozen Yogurt Berry Pops.
What you’ll need:
- Your choice of Yoplait® yogurt
- Your choice of berries
- Popsicle molds
- Bowl and spoon
You can grab all these ingredients at Walmart. Side note: I love one stop shopping!
What you’ll do:
- Mix the yogurt and berries together in a bowl
- Fill the popsicle molds with the mixture and put the tops on
- Place the filled molds in the freezer
- Check back in about 4-6 hours
- Place the molds in a bowl of warm water for about a minute
- Take the popsicles out and enjoy 🙂
This is my favorite alternative for ice cream or store-bought popsicles.
The kids are happy because they get a cold snack after playing out in the heat. I’m happy because they’re eating healthy snacks.
It’s a win-win.
Even the teenager loves them! And that’s no easy feat.
