Use Poise® And Recycle Your Period Pads

1 in 3 women experience Light Bladder Leakage(LBL), but many are using period pads to manage it when they should be using Poise®!

I had no idea that the statistic was so high for LBL – but it does make me feel a little better knowing that I was far from alone in dealing with this challenge.

After I had my third child, LBL was a big issue for a little while. Whenever I laughed too hard or coughed, a little leak would occur. Luckily it didn’t last too long, just during my post-partum recovery, but I know that’s not the case for many other women out there who have ongoing issues with LBL.

Why Poise®

Managing LBL is a whole lot easier with Poise® Thin-Shape pads. They are specially designed for LBL and will keep you dry.

Women deserve the best options for managing LBL. Whether you leak a little when you laugh, or sometimes have a sudden urge to go, Poise® gives you one less thing to worry about any time of day or night. Poise® pads and liners are specifically designed for LBL, which makes them an easy choice for the 1 in 3 women with light bladder leaks.

Designed to move with your body, new Poise® Thin-Shape pads feature Super Absorbent Material and a Thin-Flex design for extraordinary protection that’s still 3x drier than period pads; to help you take care of leaks with confidence.

Use Poise® And Recycle Your Period Pads

You’re probably wondering what in the world you should do with your period pads once you start using Poise®. Well, my favorite use for them is as ice packs!

All you have to do to make your own ice pack is this:

  • Soak the pad in (cold) water
  • Put the soaked pad into a plastic zip-up bag
  • Put the bag into the freezer for a few hours

Not long after, you’ll have a really cold, long-lasting ice pack.

Since my daughter’s foot surgery earlier this year, she’s been icing her foot regularly.

The pads have been coming in handy for her icing sessions.

She’s not too happy about it (did you see that face?) BUT, the pads make icing a lot easier.

  1. I’ve never thought of that before! I use pads because I think tampons hurt and I don’t care what would other people think because they won’t think it’s a pad.

  2. When I first saw the title I was wondering what i was about to read… (LOL!) I never would have thought to use it as an ice pad. Great tip! Thanks a lot! 🙂
