If I had to define my personal, real mom style in one word it would be comfy. Especially in the winter months, I’m all about comfort. As the busy mom of three who works full-time, runs a business, is starting a new business, writes a blog, is working on a book, and still has a life (how, with all of that, I don’t know… lol) I always hold onto at least one wardrobe staple that I can rely on to carry me through the season. This year, it’s my favorite pair of black G by Guess Hektor Over-The-Knee Boots.
I love wearing them with jeans and leggings. It’s like an instant wardrobe boost. An outfit that may have been a little drab is automatically upgraded once I throw these awesome boots on. Here, I am sporting them while out to brunch with my daughter. Add the big comfy sweater and I’m totally good to go.
I love the buckle detail and that they are flat. I’m not as into heels as I used to be. Again, it’s all about comfort.
It always amazes me how many compliments I get for what seems like such a simple outfit. The tank top is from Target. The sweater and jeggings are from New York & Company. And I got my fave boots from DSW. Add some earrings (that my hair is covering up), my favorite MAC make-up, and that rounds out my Real Mom Style. 🙂

It’s not that hard to find over-the-knee boots for me since I’m short. I only wear boots in fall and winter.
These boots are so cute and they do dress up your outfit. I have never had a pair. I will have to check some out for next winter. Thank you for sharing. You look great

I love these boots and boots in general. I love that they’re back in style, especially since I live in the great white north with so much snow.
Sadly my mom style is sweats and T-shirts. I KNOW I should have more style. I think once I get closer to my goal weight I will develop one. I totally love these boots. I never thought about over the knee boots for me, however looking at them on your makes me want a pair.
I love this look and those boots are to die for!

My staple item is flip flops..lol..it’s Florida and it’s hot no need for anything else.

This is totally my kind of outfit and my kind of stores! Due to my budget, I didn’t get to invest in a good black pair of boots this winter. Yours are gorgeous! And why did I not see that sweater at NY and Co? Love it!

Sometimes the simplest outfits are the best! I’m happy to see another mama with over the knee boots — I *should* wear heels, but I prefer flats even thought I’m 5ft tall. I like the fold of the sweater and the details in the stitching. Thanks for linking and look forward to seeing more from you!

I love a good boot, too, though I’ve not been brave enough to go over the knee! I usually let a heel give my boot more height 😉 That said, I think your flowy sweater is a great balance to the tall boots. Maybe I’ll have to wear some skinny jeans and a flowy sweater and hit up some end of the season sales to check out a pair of OTK boots!
