  1. Great advice. I am impressed by how honest you are about motherhood. I think we all “pretend” that everyday is a picnic, and I love that you are talking about things that so many hide.

  2. Love you top in the video! I agree we must be okay with understanding we cannot do it all and be honestly be okay with it. I stress a lot about this specific topic and am working to get better and letting go and being happy for what I’ve accomplished in the day.

  3. I am enjoying videos more than I use to simply because I can listen as I’m folding clothes, etc… I am horrible, awful, endless list here of making good time management choices. I just have been that way, though I know I can do differently and want to. Maybe I should start with the resources you noted. Thanks so much.

  4. I believe that Time Management is a “must” for anyone!!! If you’re finding yourself too busy, and getting stressed/burned out…you look at your calendar and mark a giant “X” in the day that you will be spending on things you “want to” do, rather than “have to” do!

  5. The biggest shift in my overall wellbeing and happiness was being ok with saying no, and not feeling guilty about things that I had to miss out on because I was simply too tired, etc. Great video and I love your top 🙂

  6. I remember hearing about The Desire Map book on another web site and kept saying I needed to get it! Thanks for the reminder. Yes, how we spend our time is definitely about choices and priorities. Single motherhood is no joke, but it’s manageable if you dictate how you’re going to invest your time. Realizing that you may never get it all done, but if you do it right, you can get the most important things to you done.

  7. You are an inspiration- I’ve had fibromyalgia for many years, compounded by injuries from a car accident. I still have trouble getting even housework done – but reading your blog keeps pushing me to get out of this deep funk I’ve been in. Thank you!

  8. Great video! That is so true, it is all a choice! I need to stop feeling guilty for what I can’t do and start choosing what I want to do and feel good about it!

  9. It really is SO true. On days when I made up my mind to be extra productive, I can get so much more done! I stay focused, and don’t let things distract me. Love hearing your cute voice too! 🙂

  11. Oh this is good… and I want to know more about this “Desire map” that you talk about! It really is all about our choices… each and every day we have opportunities in every minute to make intentional decisions with what we do with our time. I am so aware of this, and try to let go of the things that are not of value to my time. It’s HARD!!! Life sometimes sucks you in- to things that are wasteful… Setting strong limits is where I struggle, but I am doing better at it.

  12. Carin, first off I LOVE your bookcase. I’m a lover of books so that’s the first thing that caught my eye. 🙂 You’re absolutely right we have to simply make a choice and do what’s important to us in order to get things done versus being overwhelmed by the busyness of life. I’ve owned The Desire Map for some time and you just reminded me to pull it back out.

  13. What a great video! We never have enough time as moms. It is so important to be “OK with what you cannot do.” I have a hard time with that.
